Honoring Juneteenth...

Today serves as a reminder of our history, but also as a celebration of Black liberation and the struggle for freedom. We honor and celebrate Juneteenth and support its recognition as a federal holiday.

Two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, the last enslaved people in the state of Texas were declared free on the day we know as "Juneteenth."
